Hello hello! It sure has been a while, but while this blog has been on hiatus, I've been busy buzzing between MANY writing projects. But before I get into that, let's talk about the reason I'm here!
THE SAVIOR'S RISE, The Windermere Tales Book II, is OUT TODAY!
In this epic, emotional sequel to THE ORACLE STONE (2021), Jekku and Taja will face powerful foes, challenging truths, and their own worst fears. I'm over the moon. It still hasn't settled in that I now have a SECOND book out in the world. This story and these characters are indescribably important to me, and having the opportunity to share them with readers who care as much as I do has been more rewarding than I ever could have imagined. So thank you to every reader and reviewer and friend who has given my books a chance. Finding a community of other devoted self-published authors has been one of the best parts of this whole experience, and I couldn't be more grateful for the enthusiasm and support.
So... with the publication of THE SAVIOR'S RISE, we bring THE ORACLE STONE duology to a close. However! That doesn't mean this is the end. Next up, return to Windermere in THE MASTER OF TIME, a companion novella taking place two years after the end of THE SAVIOR'S RISE. Follow Lilya Noor on a perilous journey beyond the mortal world as she grasps at a chance to see her beloved sister again. While this novella is not directly connected to the plot of THE ORACLE STONE and THE SAVIOR'S RISE, I do recommend reading the duology first; everything will make a lot more sense! After that, at some point in the future I also plan to release a series of short stories following various side characters from the Windermere books. These may include backstories of some familiar faces, or a glimpse into characters we only see once or twice. So far I've only written one of these tales (and it accidentally became a short novella...oops), so I can't say for sure what the rest will look like or when I'll release them, but stay tuned! I'm not ready to leave this world behind yet, and I have a LOT more rattling around in the back of my head. I can't wait to see where all these ideas take me.
While Windermere has been my main focus, this past November I wrote a book totally outside of that universe. Just after I finished some intense revisions and rewrites of THE SAVIOR'S RISE, I needed a break from that universe, so I drafted a standalone, low-stakes fantasy novel titled MELIORA. I fell completely in love with this new story and its characters, so I'm planning on releasing that one in this coming June. I think it's a perfect early summer read -- and just in time for Pride month, since it is, of course, very queer.

Okay, I think that's all the things coming up in the near future. WHEW, it's a lot! Between drafting, revising, release day prep, and not to mention beta reading, work, and grad school... I have been. SO BUSY. But hey I love what I do, and if I stopped for even a minute I'd miss it, so here we are.
